Rt Hon Peter Kyle MP
Secretary of State, Department for Business and TradeRt Hon Peter Kyle MP
Peter Kyle is a British Labour politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Hove since 2015. He has held several frontbench roles, including Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and, from July 2024, Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology. Before entering politics, he worked in the charity sector and earned a PhD focused on youth social exclusion.

Tom Rutland MP
Member of Parliament for East Worthing and ShorehamTom Rutland
Tom was elected as the first ever Labour MP for East Worthing and Shoreham at the July 2024 General Election, with a majority of 9,519. He lives in Shoreham and grew up just over the Sussex border in Kent, where he attended a local state school.
Following victory at the General Election in July, Tom was elected to the House of Commons’ Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee in October 2024. He also chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the BBC.

Mims Davies MP

Mims Davies was elected as Member of Parliament for East Grinstead and Uckfield in 2024, having previously served as MP for Eastleigh between 2015 and 2019, and Mid Sussex from 2019 to 2024. Prior to her election, Mims served as a Councillor for almost six years in Mid Sussex, in addition to working in media, events and communications. Mims is the current Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, as well as serving as the Shadow Minister for Women.

Professor Sasha Roseneil
Sasha began her term as the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Sussex in August 2022.
She is Sussex’s ninth Vice-Chancellor and our first female VC.
Previously, Sasha was UCL’s first Pro-Provost for Equity and Inclusion and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences. Before that, Professor Roseneil was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Essex, and held leadership positions at Birkbeck, University of London and the University of Leeds.
Over more than 30 years as an academic, Professor Roseneil has developed an international reputation for her pioneering research on intimate relationships, citizenship, and social movements. Originally trained as a sociologist, and later as a group analyst and psychotherapist, she has played a leading role in establishing the interdisciplinary fields of Gender Studies and Psychosocial Studies.
She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is also a member of the Institute of Group Analysis and a Founding Scholar of the British Psychoanalytic Council.

As the founder of several AI businesses, Tim campaigns for wider access, earlier education and more training opportunities in AI, to unlock the full economic potential of UK AI businesses. Over his 25 year career, Tim has worked at blue-chip brands such as BBC, NBC-Universal, Hutchison-3G and Zipcar and has advised SMEs on commercial strategy. Tim is passionate about the transformative role of technology to enhance education, particularly in the further-education and apprenticeships sectors. He founded two ed-tech businesses: The Institute of Digital Marketing online (The IDM Online) and the Academy of Digital Business Leaders (The ADBL). More recently, Tim co-founded EntityX, using AI to improve advertising targeting, and Intelliquence, with the aim of widening access to AI. Tim is a non-executive director of Greater Than, a publicly-listed business that uses AI to predict and prevent road collisions and to measure and reduce CO2 usage.

Peter Lamb MP

Peter Lamb is the Labour Member of Parliament for Crawley, elected in July 2024. Born and raised in Crawley, West Sussex, Peter has spent most of his life serving the community he now represents in Westminster. He studied Modern History and Politics at the University of Southampton, where he also completed a master’s degree in Citizenship and Governance.
Before entering Parliament, Peter built a dedicated career in local government. First elected to Crawley Borough Council in 2010, he went on to become Council Leader in 2014.
