Chamber UK: Great Political Events
Our events create spaces where attendees can engage directly with policymakers in settings designed to encourage real conversation. From private rooms and historic venues around Westminster to distinctive locations across the UK, we bring people together in environments that move discussion beyond the formal and make it easier to exchange ideas, build relationships, and have conversations that would not happen in a committee room alone.
Emily Hewertson
Senior Political Events and Marketing Officer
As Political Events Lead, Emily knows her way around the nation’s most famous houses, and no, not just the Big Brother one! We’re talking the Houses of Parliament.
She’s mastered roundtables and receptions, is sharp on screens and soundchecks, and knows exactly which button keeps the air con humming to ensure the cool running of any event. If you want the hottest names in Westminster and beyond at your event, Emily knows how to make the invite irresistible.
Great Venues
We choose venues that elevate the conversation, not the usual windowless committee rooms with weak coffee. Distinctive, welcoming spaces help discussions flow more freely and make the whole experience sharper, livelier, and far more enjoyable for everyone involved.
It’s also great to consider getting out of London. Some of our best events have been across the country and policy makers are often more ready to engage if you come to them.
Miles Bennington
Operations and Finance Director
Miles approaches every event with the calm confidence of a man who knows exactly what it should cost but underneath is quietly alarmed that it costs more.
As Finance Director, his first instinct is not to ask what something is, but why it isn’t cheaper. His second instinct is to check whether it was agreed in the scope, and his third is to produce the document proving it. He has the document. He always has the document.
Great Speakers
We work across the political spectrum to secure the most relevant speakers for each event. Our speakers expect their time to be well used, their audience informed and engaged, and any recordings produced to a consistently high professional standard.
By cultivating a reputation for well-curated audiences, rigorous production standards, and events that are not only serious about ideas but genuinely enjoyable to take part in, we are able to book speakers at the highest level, ensuring your events are a a hit.
Ben Howlett
Chief Executive
Ben Howlett has attended so many Westminster events that the security guards no longer check his pass. They just sigh, and wave him through.
He can navigate a reception by instinct alone. Left hand accepts a lukewarm glass of white. Right hand is already shaking a (self) important hand. Over the years he has been an MP, a councillor, a select committee member, and the quiet observer wondering why the leading lights of British politics are still being force-fed mediocre canapés (pronounced “can-apes” as he would have it).
Suffice to say, he knows from political events, and would very much prefer if they were done properly.
If Westminster had a loyalty card, Ben would have earned a free committee room by now.
Ben McDermott
Director of Partnerships
In politics, as in gravel biking, a bumpy ride is to be expected. Luckily, Ben loves both, and has a talent for making them look smooth.
He is always on the lookout for a good opportunity. Ideally one with a strong story, the right room, and an audience that can make things happen. He is our Director of Partnerships, but when you run an event with us he is also deeply involved in shaping yours.
He enjoys a well told story almost as much as he enjoys a well structured deal. Each brings clarity of purpose and, if done properly, leaves a bit more time to get back out on the hills.
