Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Location: Parliament (confirmed 48 hours in advance to accredited attendees)
Organised by West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and supported by Curia, this Parliamentary Reception brings together parliamentarians, system leaders, practitioners, and people with lived experience to explore what it means to build a trauma informed nation.
While much of the policy debate focuses on individual services or sectors, trauma informed approaches offer a unifying framework for prevention, equity, and system reform across health, social care, justice, education, and community services. This reception complements the earlier parliamentary roundtable by creating space for reflection, connection, and shared understanding of how trauma informed practice looks and feels in real world settings.
The reception provides an opportunity to engage with lived experience, storytelling, and creative expression, alongside practical examples of trauma informed approaches already being embedded across systems and places. It is designed to bring together the head and the heart, supporting deeper dialogue and sustained engagement beyond formal policy discussion.
Please note: Registering via Eventbrite does not guarantee a ticket. Tickets issued via Eventbrite are not valid for entry.
Official parliamentary tickets will be issued at least 48 hours in advance and will include the exact location of the event. Anyone without an official ticket will not be permitted entry.
