Operations Assistant
Join our team in this entry level operations role shared between Chamber UK, Curia and JBP Associates and get a taste of the policy space from public affairs to broadcast media.
Based in Smith Square in the heart of Westminster, Chamber is a new regional broadcaster connecting communities with political debate.
Curia is the the UK’s first consultancy to specialise in the implementation of public policy, running policy commissions led by senior figures in the policy making space.
JBP Associates is a communications, public policy and digital marketing agency that has been at the heart of Westminster politics for almost forty years.
Together we help clients navigate the political landscape.
Role
Your role would report to the Operations Director and would assist on events, filming and content creation across all three organisations. Follow the links below to see what we get up to!
The salary for this role will be £23,000 with an annual bonus (starting in 2023).
- Event Organisation
- Invite speakers via email and phone
- Invite attendees to events via email
- Liaise with senior leaders diary managers
- Book venues
- Organise catering
- Email marketing of events
- Manage and document logistics for events
- Content creation
- Maintain a content “grid” to ensure coverage
- Compose and send regular newsletter to subscribers
- Coordinate writers to ensure coverage
- Source opinion pieces from thought leaders
- Filming
- Organise subjects and interviewers for political interviews
- Film and record audio for political interviews
- Scout venues for filming
Organisation
Your time will be split between aiding three teams. Chamber, Curia, and JBP Associates.
Chamber is a specialist policy broadcaster which runs events all over the country. Curia is our policy institute, the UK’s first “do tank”, working with senior leaders to implement their policies. JBP Associates is a public affairs firm, providing PR, Policy and marketing consultation to their clients.
